Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN, is seeking a Multi-skilled Technician to perform basic patient care under RN supervision. You will take blood glucose measurements, record intake/output, and assist with daily living activities.

Duties include EKGs and phlebotomy with training and competency assessment. The role requires high school level education, CPR on hire or within 60 days, and prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and spell English and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
• Strong communication and collaboration with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Take blood glucose measurements and record results.
• Record intake and output; assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform EKGs according to policy and training.
• Perform phlebotomy duties as trained.
• Keep patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Attend required in-services and participate in performance improvement.
