Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Yakima, WA seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to perform moderate/high complexity testing, troubleshoot instruments, and support quality control. Work on-site Monday–Friday, 10:30–19:00.

Requirements include a BS/BA in Medical Technology or Biology/Chemistry; ASCP certification preferred; and one year of full-time lab experience. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities

• Must demonstrate proficiency in all areas of testing and troubleshoot instruments and procedures.
• Provide support in quality control, problem solving, instrument maintenance, staff training, and process improvement.
• Perform assigned analytical tests according to SOPs and ensure quality control requirements are met.
• Enter test results into the Laboratory Information System for standardized reporting.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety and regulatory requirements and maintain equipment and workspace.
