Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification.
• BLS certification. Arizona fingerprint clearance may be required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use medical software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by taking and recording vital signs, symptoms, and other measurements.
• Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures and tests.
• Coordinates care including pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling.
• Documents medical records, labs, and billing related information.
• Maintains clean, disinfected exam rooms and equipment; follows safety guidelines.
• Orders supplies and assists with medication management as directed.
• Communicates with patients and staff to ensure smooth clinical workflow.
• Completes onboarding/orientation activities as needed.
