Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Cardiology-BSMS team in Scottsdale, AZ. You will support clinicians in exams and procedures, record vital signs, manage referrals, and handle clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.

Ideal candidates will have MA certification, BLS, strong computer and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required (RMA/CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NCMA).
• BLS certification required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for Behavioral Health settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and noting chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures (BP, pulse, temp, phlebotomy, EKG).
• Coordinate care including referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling.
• Provide clerical support and accurate medical records and billing information.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and proper sterilization of equipment and rooms.
• Order supplies and manage medication recalls as directed.
• Communicate test results to patients and support clinician in care delivery.
• Complete onboarding/orientation activities as required.
