Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will interact with patients, assist with exams, and support care coordination to ensure a positive healthcare experience.

Required education includes an accredited MA program (or EMT/Paramedic paths) with current CPR. Opportunities for growth exist within a mission-driven team serving Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited MA program/externship/internship or related clinical training.
• CPR certification preferred/required.
• Credentialed MA options listed in credentials section.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and testing.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management initiatives.
