Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.

Requirements include completing an MA program/externship or internship, EMT/Paramedic options, and MA certification CPR. Day-one benefits and a mission-driven culture await in Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• Must complete an MA program and externship or internship as listed.
• EMT or Paramedic credentials are acceptable or preferred.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (MA) is desired and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
