Job summary

Capital Health System, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to support both clinical and front-office duties across our facilities.

The role includes patient prep, vitals, basic testing, injections, charting, and coordinating with providers to ensure quality care. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and current AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT certification or equivalent, plus AHA BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting program with 330 clock hours.
• Current certification from AAMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA/AMT or other recognized certifier.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance specifications, and data entry; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination; take vitals and record history.
• Perform ECG and point-of-care tests; collect lab specimens and assist providers.
• Handle front-office tasks: registration, scheduling, discharge paperwork, referrals, and records.Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Cross-train for Patient Reception duties and NJPMP monitoring as needed.
• Maintain supplies, organize charts, and ensure compliance with policies and safety.
