Episcopal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) in the Med/Surg department at St. John’s Hospital, Far Rockaway, NY. The role supports patient-focused care across the life span and emphasizes teamwork and safety.

Requires NYS RN license, BLS, a Bachelor's in Nursing preferred, and at least 2 years in a medical/surgical setting. On-site position with 37.5 biweekly hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical/surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Able to identify immediate and long range plans for patient care and includes both the patient and family in the plan
• Sets priorities for the patients needs, making decisions which reflect sound judgement
• Monitor the patients clinical status and assess for significant change
• Communicate clearly with patient, family members, physicians, and team members to ensure patient needs are met
• Safely administer medication on time and in accordance with the Hospital's policies
• Perform venipuncture and starts intravenous lines safely
