Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK is hiring a day shift, full-time Medical Surgical Orthopedic Patient Care Tech (PCT). You will assist with patient care tasks, transport patients, deliver meals, and support nursing staff within the scope of practice.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preferred candidates have phlebotomy experience, CNA/PCT certification, or are enrolled in nursing school.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Completion of CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or enrollment in nursing school is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs, transporting patients, delivering meals, and assisting with hygiene within scope of practice.
• Receives patients at desk, escorts to rooms, provides initial instructions, and assists in patient transport and chart retrieval.
• Stocking supplies, assisting with unit receptionist duties, and keeping nursing stations clean and organized.
