Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks a dedicated CNA for a full-time Med Surg 9T, days shift. Reports to the Manager and assists the RN in delivering high-quality, individualized basic care.

The role involves assisting with bathing, grooming, ambulation, vital signs, safety and privacy, while following care plans and hospital standards. Requires CA CNA, BLS; willingness to obtain 30-day credentials; six months acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid California CNA certification.
• BLS certification required.
• Fire Card within 30 days of hire.
• ARC certification within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Preferred six months recent experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, individualized basic care activities under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy, observe and report changes to RN/LVN.
• Perform hourly rounding and update patient boards.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients and families.

Completion of Nursing Assistant course

Valid California CNA Certification
