Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high quality basic care under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an acute care environment. You will assist with bathing, dressing, and daily living activities, monitor patient safety, observe changes, and report to the RN or LVN.

California CNA certification, BLS, and a willingness to obtain a LA Fire Card and ARC within 30 days are required; preferred six months of recent

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of Nursing Assistant course preferred.
• Minimum six months recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Valid State of California Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of hire).
• Assault Response Competency (ARC) (required within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality basic care activities under RN direction.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, positioning, and daily living activities.
• Observe and report patient issues to LVN or RN.
• Respond to patient safety concerns and follow emergency procedures.
• Communicate with physicians, staff, and patient families in a respectful manner.
• Participate in performance improvement and CQI activities.
