Job summary

Dignity Health—California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support patient comfort, safety, and recovery under RN direction. You will provide compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and contribute to the care plan as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CA) credential required.
• AHA Basic Life Support - CPR.
• Fire Safety training to be completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal hygiene care and assistance to patients and reports abnormalities to the nurse in charge.
• Takes Vital Signs in a timely manner and reports abnormals promptly.
• Assists with food and fluid intake and records intake & output.
• Assists with elimination and documents patient responses.
• Maintains body alignment, positioning, and comfort with 2-hour turns and PRN.
• Assists in preventing pressure sores using turning schedules.
