Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality basic care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will support patients across adult to geriatric populations, assist with daily living activities, and participate in the care plan in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Shifts are nights; position is full-time (FTE 0.9) and requires strong communication, teamwork and adherence to hospital standards of care.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Preferred six months recent CNA experience in acute care setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification preferred or required by facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, individualized basic care activities under RN supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding and mobility.
• Observe and report patient conditions and concerns to RN and LVN.
• Ensure patient safety and dignity; follow emergency procedures when needed.
• Maintain patient care records and communicate with physicians and staff.
