Job summary

Pillar of Cedar Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our facilities in safe, good repair. The role supports electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems within a health care environment, following established procedures and preventive maintenance plans.

The position shifts 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with on-call weekends as needed. Applicants should have HS diploma, a valid driver's license, and basic maintenance skills; prior facility maintenance is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Past maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• General knowledge of tools and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work on plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC, fixtures, and building components.
• Follow preventive maintenance plans, inspections, and documentation.
• Carry out routine, preventive, and other maintenance of equipment and grounds.
• Respond to emergency maintenance as needed, including off-schedule times.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specific work when required.
• Replace lights, maintain floors, windows, and fixtures; keep areas clean and organized.
