Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform quality maintenance in our facility, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and safe operation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with emphasis on patient safety, sanitation, and confidentiality of information. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to support daily operations and exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred.
• Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
• Knowledge of local building codes and ordinance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Inspect equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
• Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
