Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a Day Maintenance Supervisor at its Specialty Foods Plant in Marshall, MN. You will lead daily maintenance activities, ensure safety compliance, and drive KPIs to support production with a focus on reliability and cost control.

Your role includes developing maintenance staff, managing budgets, and coordinating with vendors. The position requires 3+ years in maintenance, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and SAP PM proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience in maintenance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of fasteners, lubrication, mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical power and control systems.
• Experience with food plant production equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment and full compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead and prioritize daily maintenance activities to support production needs.
• Monitor and drive maintenance KPIs, equipment reliability and root cause analysis.
• Oversee equipment repairs, outages, contractors and vendor work.
• Manage maintenance budget, CMMS compliance and spare parts availability.
• Improve shop organization and equipment condition through 5S and defect elimination.
• Develop, coach and manage maintenance team members including hiring and performance management.
