Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift in a food production facility. You will supervise daily maintenance work, coordinate with planners, and drive reliability improvements across production lines to minimize downtime.

This role requires strong leadership with 5+ years in maintenance and hands-on expertise in PLC systems (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley), electrical/mechanical systems, and SAP CMMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience, including 2+ years of maintenance leadership.
• Knowledge of SAP, OSHA/EPA regulations, USDA sanitation standards and related safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Improves organization and effectiveness of physical workspaces through Shop Tools and Facilities system (shop safety, 5S, precision tools, etc.).
• Supervises daily work assignments, including reactive, corrective, planned, and condition-based maintenance, coordinating with Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.
• Participates in site DMS meetings with ownership of reporting maintenance metrics.
• Tracks and reports weekly maintenance KPIs (PM and corrective completion, backlog, aging, MTTR, breakdowns).
• Provides leadership in troubleshooting and resolving breakdowns and reliability losses with cross-functional teams; drives root-cause analysis via breakdown elimination.
• Contributes to improving maintenance strategies using team input, breakdown findings, defects trends, and equipment condition monitoring.
