Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Minnesota is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on day shift to support the plant's upkeep and reliability. You will assist with equipment and building repairs, perform routine PMs, and communicate clearly with other mechanics and departments to keep production humming.

The role requires basic math, English literacy, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A background in maintenance and experience with power tools, electrical and mechanical procedures, and weekend

Qualifications

• Basic math including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and percentages.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Must be able to pass Prove It Test.
• Two years’ experience in maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication with team and other departments.
• Experience operating maintenance power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical procedures.
• Weekend work flexibility may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with repairs of equipment, property and building.
• Maintain clear communication with other mechanics and departments.
• Effectively use electrical testing equipment.
• Support Station Mechanic and operators in basic machinery functions.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate to supervisor.
• Initiate and perform routine preventative maintenance (PMs).
• Maintain shop 6S cleanliness and organization.
• Perform other duties as required.
