Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems. You will apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills to minimize downtime and uphold equipment reliability.

Join a safety‑driven team with opportunities to handle routine preventive maintenance, read schematics, and perform basic machinist tasks. Monday–Friday schedule with overtime as needed; base pay includes shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical school certification or vocational training preferred.
• Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.
• Perform emergencies and unscheduled repairs during production operations.
• Complete scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance activities during equipment downtime.
• Perform basic machinist duties as required.
• Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair equipment issues.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions; replace or repair defective components; test equipment; and make necessary adjustments.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance functions.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and material‑handling equipment.
• Identify faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual operating conditions and report findings to appropriate supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
