Job summary

Qualifications include two years of trade school or five years in maintenance, forklift and CPR/First Aid certifications, and strong communication, math, and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• This position requires two years of trade school and/or five years of maintenance experience.
• Must be able to use mechanical tools and inspect equipment.
• Ability to read PIDs, PFDs, drawings and equipment schematics.
• Must complete forklift certification and CPR/First Aid certification.
• Must pursue ongoing professional development every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance area in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Coordinate schedules with Planners and Clerk to verify jobs are completed safely.
• Diagnose equipment failures and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Lead training for maintenance technicians and coordinate department training.
• Promote best practice maintenance standards and team ownership.
• Start/stop equipment and reference equipment documentation (SOPs, drawings).
• Ensure compliance with GMPs, food safety, and safety programs.
