Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Jasper, TN seeks a Machine Operator 1 in a training role to learn extrusion line operations and produce vinyl siding products. You will ensure outputs meet specifications while upholding QA standards, with opportunities to advance to Machine Operator 2 as you gain skills.

Starting day one, benefits begin immediately and a robust 80-hour vacation benefit is included. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and accurate paperwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related or production experience is required.
• Must read, write and have working knowledge of machine mechanics.
• Must be able to lift up to 86 pounds with/without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Verify operational status of all equipment on the line per startup checklist.
• Maintain extruder and peripheral line settings to meet product specs.
• Perform quality assurance tests on finished product within required ranges.
• Notify supervisors of deviations for prompt correction.
• Communicate with Maintenance and Shift Supervisor about machine malfunctions.
• Assist with troubleshooting and changeovers during the shift.
• Conduct line/panel checks to ensure product consistency.
• Complete extrusion and QA paperwork accurately.
