Description

Position Overview

This position requires a self-motivated individual willing to work safely in a team-based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their workload, and complete tasks in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A desire for continuous improvement and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers' increasing demands. Overtime, including weekends, may be available.

Responsibilities

1. Work safely and follow all related policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
2. Accurately report time, production, and material usage.
3. Set up machines, including preparing materials and retrieving paper from storage.
4. Use a computer to enter information related to the production run, including job details and measurements.
5. Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality issues to the Production Supervisor.
6. Operate, change over, start up, and clean machines.
7. Check raw materials against production requirements to prevent shortages.
8. Verify dimensions on materials using a ruler to ensure quality.
9. Troubleshoot machine issues and recommend process improvements.
10. Keep the work area clean and organized.
11. Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous machine operator experience.
3. Experience in slitting, coating, or printing is preferred.
4. Good human relations skills and strong verbal communication skills.

Hourly Pay Range: $21-$29 per hour.
