Position Summary

We are seeking a Machine Operator to join our expanding team in the Portland area. The Machine Operator ensures machines operate at full capacity while producing quality products. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, performing periodic checks, inspecting production runs, documenting results, reporting malfunctions, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and the work area.

Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday, with occasional weekends, starting at 2:45 pm, 8-10 hour shifts.

Pay: Starting at $20/hour plus a 50-cent shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely, including setup, troubleshooting, and breakdown during shifts.
• Set up, start-up, and breakdown equipment timely at shift start and end.
• Troubleshoot effectively to minimize downtime.
• Make adjustments to maximize machine efficiency and communicate improvements.
• Identify mechanical issues proactively to prevent breakdowns and report to leads or supervisors.
• Operate additional equipment as needed.
• Follow all GMPs during production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months recent experience as a Machine Operator.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Basic math skills involving percentages.
• Ability to work in cold or warm environments.
• Comfortable with physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime.
