Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an LPN/LVN in this state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
• Ensure nursing personnel comply with written policies and procedures established by the facility.
• Meet with staff to plan shifts, services, and activities; participate in QA and discharge planning.
• Oversee charting, documentation, and reporting; ensure accurate nursing records.
• Administer medications as ordered, verify resident identity, and manage narcotic records.
• Provide leadership, supervise staff, and participate in staff development and safety programs.
