Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers is seeking an LPN to provide direct resident care in a part-time, PRN role at our Frederick, MD facility. You will administer medications, document care, and support care planning while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Nursing Assistants, assisting with admissions/discharges, and following physician orders. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and work eight-hour shifts on site.

Qualifications

• Current and valid LPN license in the state providing nursing care.
• Ability to read, write and understand English well.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist and turn frequently throughout the eight hour shift.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds in assisting co-workers with resident lifts, transfers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the direct delivery of resident care and administers prescribed medications.
• Provides accurate and descriptive records of medical and nursing care of the residents.
• Assigns daily resident care duties to Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides, monitors and evaluates the delivery of care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.
• Participates in resident care planning.
• Assists with admissions and discharges of residents.
• Assists in the management of Nursing Assistants and Hospitality Aides.
• Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.
