Job summary

Federal Signal Corporation in University Park, IL is hiring a Work Cell Assembler for the AM shift (7am–3:30pm). You will build assemblies per blueprints, review production schedules, requisition parts, operate tools, and participate in training and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
• Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, jigs, meters, soldering irons, riveters, presses and crimping tools.
• Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Works from blueprints, schedules, shop orders, specification sheets, process instructions and test.
• Reviews production schedules for specific periods and arranges for parts, materials, supplies, tooling, gauges and other equipment to meet production.
• Requisitions and stores.
