Job summary

Federal Signal Corporation in University Park, IL is seeking a Work Cell Assembler for the Small Lights line, working 3:30pm–12am. You will perform light mechanical/electrical assembly, follow blueprints, and set up the work cell in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include using power tools, gauges, and basic measuring devices, training new staff, ensuring quality, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly.
• Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, hand trucks, fixed gauges, jigs, meters, soldering irons, riveters, presses and crimping tools.
• Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, schedules and spec sheets to plan work.
• Prepare parts, materials, tooling, gauges and equipment to meet production demands.
• Set up work cell and adjust tools/equipment as needed; monitor quality and safety.
