Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Lead Sterile Processing Tech for the Sterile Processing Department in Arlington Heights, IL. The role is full-time with dayshift hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm and involves supervising in the supervisor's absence.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CBSPD or CRCST certification on hire, and at least two years in sterile processing (lead experience preferred). Outlook proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school Diploma or GED required.
• Certification: CBSPD or CRCST through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association upon hire.
• Required Experience: Two (2) years' experience in healthcare sterile processing.
• Preferred: Two (2) years' experience as a lead or in staff education.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the department when supervisor is unavailable.
• Inform management about items and supplies to order and assist in locating needed instrumentation to meet OR demand.
• Oversee daily departmental needs and workflow to support the OR schedule.
• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Follow procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and cart setup to ensure patient care quality.
• Ensure decontamination completion and accurate labeling of sterile items for distribution.
