Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is currently hiring a Janitor in Pelham, Alabama. The role involves performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a building or multiple client sites with flexibility to meet client specifications.

The position offers $12 per hour with a Monday–Sunday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., totaling 35 hours per week. On-the-job training is provided to help you perform duties per contract requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans and use a compactor when required.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow the housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned by client scope.
