Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preserve the interior of client sites. Flexible duties per client specifications, with a focus on reliable daily upkeep and adherence to safety procedures.

The position offers a $12.75 per hour wage and a Monday-Sunday shift from 6:00 am to 11:00 am totaling about 35 hours weekly. High school diploma or equivalent, or six months of janitorial experience is required.

Qualifications

• On the job training will be provided.

• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and other objects.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash cans and use a compactor where required.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the client.
