Qualifications

• No formal education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May require a valid driver’s license and safety/task training certification.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties and daily schedule tasks.
• Handle hazardous waste: collect, classify, sort, store, ship/receive, label, recycle, and pack hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment and maintain area upkeep.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor; follow safety rules.
• Work in a team; take direction and communicate professionally with staff and customers.
• Fill in during staff shortages; support shift lead with punch-list items.
