Job summary

Schnellecke Logistics is seeking a Forklift Operator in Alabama to safely move materials within the dock, staging, and storage areas. The role requires operating sit-down forklifts, performing pre-shift inspections, and ensuring proper loading and weight distribution.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of forklift experience, the ability to obtain certification, and familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years forklift experience preferred.
• Able to obtain powered industrial equipment certification.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
• Able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Experience with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems preferred.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials between the dock, staging, and storage areas.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Load and unload trailers while maintaining product integrity and proper weight distribution.
• Accurately scan and track inventory movements using RF scanners or manual systems.
• Ensure materials are properly staged and stored according to operational requirements.
• Follow all safety standards, operating procedures, and company policies.
