Job summary

Schnellecke Logistics USA in Vance, Alabama is seeking a Forklift Operator to operate sit-down forklifts, move materials through the warehouse and loading dock, and support daily logistics operations.

You will perform pre-shift inspections, load/unload trailers, scan inventory with RF devices, ensure proper staging, and follow safety procedures. Prior forklift experience and certification preferred; background check and drug screen required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience operating sit-down forklifts.
• Ability to obtain powered industrial equipment certification.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices.
• Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials between the dock, staging, and storage areas.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• Load and unload trailers while maintaining product integrity and proper weight distribution.
• Accurately scan and track inventory movements using RF scanners or manual systems.
• Ensure materials are properly staged and stored according to operational requirements.
• Follow all safety standards, operating procedures, and company policies.
