Job summary

C.H. Guenther & Son, Inc. is seeking a Production Operator to support food manufacturing operations with a strong emphasis on quality and safety. You will operate mixers, ovens, filling and packaging equipment, while maintaining sanitation and equipment performance.

The role requires adherence to SOPs and GMPs, participation in safety programs, and collaboration with a team across shifts. Evening, weekend, and holiday overtime may be required as production needs arise.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training in food production is a plus.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or similar production environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and GMP practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment, set up according to specifications and monitor operation.
• Conduct regular quality checks on materials, intermediates, and finished goods; report deviations.
• Follow SOPs and GMPs for packaging, labeling and assembly to maintain quality.
• Adhere to OSHA safety protocols; wear PPE and participate in safety training.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the production area and equipment.
• Meet production schedules; monitor output and communicate issues to supervisor.
• Maintain production logs and inventory records in the Redzone system; assist with stock handling.
