Job summary

Service-Management-Systems is seeking a maintenance technician to perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance and other assigned duties at our Davenport, IA facility. The role requires following department policies and operating manuals to ensure safe, efficient operation and to support daily facility needs.

Responsibilities include completing maintenance in areas such as electrical, plumbing, painting and grounds, while using blueprints and manuals.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Language Ability: ability to speak and understand English is highly recommended.
• Math Ability: basic arithmetic for measurements and conversions.
• Reasoning Ability: ability to follow written and oral instructions, use chemicals and tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance (electrical, plumbing, painting, general maintenance).
• Assist with repairs and projects (snow removal, sweeper operation).
• Use blueprints and manuals; interpret instructions and plans.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and equipment logs.
• Maintain inventories and order parts as needed.
• Contribute to quality improvement and safety compliance.
• Perform duties related to fire or disaster responses as required.
