Job summary

Progress Industries seeks a Facility Technician to perform upkeep and repair of all properties, following safety standards and accessibility requirements. You will conduct preventative maintenance and support on-call duties, prioritizing tasks daily.

At least a high school diploma and preferred 2 years in trades, plus a valid Iowa license, are required, with independence and problem-solving skills strongly valued. The nonprofit offers family-friendly benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2+ years in trades preferred.
• Valid Iowa driver's license with clean record and insurance.
• Ability to review work and ensure tasks progress as planned.
• Able to troubleshoot and provide quick solutions to problems.
• Works independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform upkeep and repair of all Progress properties.
• Conduct preventative maintenance as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Be responsible for on-call maintenance.
• Prioritize and execute daily maintenance tasks.
• Pursue quotes from independent contractors for major remodeling/repair projects and routine services; present bids for review.
• Visit each location at least quarterly to assess repair needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
