Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems within a large client site. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of building equipment, with a Monday–Friday day shift.

The position sits in the Engineering and Technical Services group, offering opportunities to address safety, compliance, and continuous improvement at the site. CBRE values reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• Experience with security equipment is preferred.
• Meet the physical requirements including lifting 50 lbs or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Day shift, Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical and hardware maintenance, including repairs to doors, plumbing fixtures, and other general building components.
• Demonstrate reliability and accountability by completing tasks safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Investigate root causes, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
• Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
• Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
• Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
