Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a Day Electrician to perform preventative maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in our Texas facility. The role requires strong collaboration with Operations to ensure safety and continuous production.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree in industrial electricity, solid PLC/VFD experience, and a proven safety record. Excellent communication and hands-on skills with electrical instruments are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

Must understand TCOS Take Controlof Safety
Excellent safety and attendance record
Strong communication skills
Proficient with electrical instruments, hand/power tools
Training or technical degree in industrial electricity
Experience with PLCs and VFDs
Experience with hydraulic & pneumatic controls
Experience with power transformers and distribution equipment
Experience with protection relays
Experience with overhead bridge cranes

Responsibilities

Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in the facility.
This role is a technical support lead role. The successful interaction with Operations is a critical part of the Day Electrician position.
