Steel Dynamics is seeking a training-oriented Shift Electrician on the Paint Line to service electrical systems and learn the lead role on shift. The position focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and collaboration with Operations to keep line performance optimal.

The successful candidate will bring a strong safety record, PLC and VFD experience, and a commitment to reliability. This on-site role offers hands-on learning within an industrial facility.

Qualifications

• Must have a good understanding of TCOS Take Control of Safety and what it means to you.
• Excellent safety and attendance record
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient with electrical instruments, hand/power tools
• Training or technical degree in industrial electricity with extensive experience in: PLC and VFD, Hydraulic & Pneumatic controls, Power transformers and Power Distribution Equipment, Protection Relays

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in the facility.
• This role is a training position for the Shift Electrician on the Paint Line.
• The Shift Electrician is the technical support lead role on shift.
• Successful interaction with Operations is a critical part of the Shift Electrician and Day Electrician position.
