Steel Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a Day Electrician to perform preventative maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in our Texas facility. The role requires strong collaboration with Operations to ensure safety and continuous production.

The ideal candidate will have a technical degree in industrial electricity, solid PLC/VFD experience, and a proven safety record. Excellent communication and hands-on skills with electrical instruments are essential for success in this position.

This role is a technical support lead role. The successful interaction with Operations is a critical part of the Day Electrician position.

Qualifications

Required:

• Proficient with electrical instruments, hand/power tools
• Training or technical degree in industrial electricity withextensive experience in:
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and VariableFrequency Drives (VFD)
• Hydraulic & Pneumatic controls
• Power transformers and Power Distribution Equipment
• Protection Relays

• Strong electrical aptitude with troubleshooting anddiagnostic skills
• Know and understand electrical principles and electronics
• Knowledge of diverse electrical equipment
• Knowledge of electrical testing and maintenancerequirements
