Job summary

Steel Dynamics, Inc. is hiring a Day Shift Electrical Technician in Indiana who will progress to the next shift electrical position. You will assist in the operation and maintenance of the plant and support daily production goals.

The role demands strong problem solving, good communication and teamwork, and the ability to be self-directed and motivated with solid leadership and mechanical aptitude. Experience with electrical systems is preferred.

Assist in the operation and maintenance of the plant. Also includes any other duties deemed necessary throughout the plant.

Required

Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance, strong communication and teamwork skills, well organized, effective troubleshooting skills, self-directed and motivated, good leadership abilities, strong mechanical aptitude.

Preferred

Skills and experience with low and high voltage switchgear, motors, variable speed drivers, controls, instruments and PLC’s.

Mechatronics/Electrical technical training certificate or equivalent.
