Job summary
Steel Dynamics is seeking a maintenance electrician to protect and optimize plant electrical systems. The role covers preventive maintenance, daily equipment inspections, and on-the-floor installation and repair of equipment to keep production lines running smoothly.
Qualified candidates will have PLC/inverter drive experience, hydraulic knowledge, and strong electrical/electronic fundamentals. Prior crane experience is a plus; this is an on-site, full-time position at our Terre Haute facility.
Qualifications
- Training in industrial electricity.
- Knowledge of hydraulics.
- PLC and INVERTER drive experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Know and understand electrical principles and electronics.
- Diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of diverse electrical equipment.
- Proficient with electrical instruments, hand and power tools.
- Experience working on high bay overhead cranes.
- Preferred: Siemens PLC and INVERTER drive experience.
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance tickets (PM's).
- Inspect electrical equipment daily.
- Installation and repair of equipment.
- Inspect production lines daily.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures.
