Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Negaunee, Michigan is hiring a Day Shift Diesel Mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy‑duty diesel trucks and equipment, keeping the fleet reliable.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and repair hydraulic and electrical systems, brakes, suspension and PTO components to keep Refuse Trucks serviceable. Starting pay is $28–$35 per hour with ASE testing bonuses; benefits include 15 days PTO, quarterly tool allowance, boot

Qualifications

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.

More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.** **We pay for ASE testing! Once you get your certs is .25 bump per T Series ASE.****Shift: 6am-4pm M-F.
