Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain company-owned heavy‑duty diesel trucks and refuse equipment to keep daily operations running smoothly.

The role offers a 3pm–11:30pm, Monday–Friday shift with starting pay of $29–$36 per hour. Additional pay is available based on experience, certifications and skill level; ASE testing is paid for by the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
• Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
