Job summary

CommonSail Investment Group is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare meals for residents, guests, and staff according to menus and recipes. The role requires standing for long periods, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three years of line cook experience, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include cooking to planned menus, plating with proper portions, assisting kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety and rotation guidelines.

• Good communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food for residents, guests, and employees.
• Prepare food according to the planned menu using standard recipes.
• Plate food items following portion guidelines and garnishing instructions.
• Assist other kitchen staff as needed and perform duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and/or prepared.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Ensure freshness, proper cooking, seasoning of foods.
• Stock and clean station for next shift.
• Follow proper food rotation policies.
• Maintain a positive team environment and promote good public relations with residents and guests.
