Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. seeks a skilled Controls Technician for the day shift in the Atlanta area. The role involves designing and integrating control systems, building PLC panels, and programming to run automated equipment.

The technician will configure, test, operate, and maintain controls and automated systems in production, working with engineers to achieve output goals. Experience with PLCs, sensors, and safety circuits is essential.

Qualifications

• Desire at least 6 years of related experience.
• PLC programming with context clue usage within PLC programs.
• Able to program a machine process from scratch.
• Wiring a 9-lead motor and stress testing windings.
• Identify critical info from motor data plates for specing components.
• Familiar with sensors: PNP, NPN, loop-powered, dry contact.
• Analog control: 4-20mA and 0-10V.
• Ladder logic troubleshooting.
• Panel building experience.
• Electrical experience; some robotics exposure.
• Safety circuit integration.
• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot PLC systems and robot controllers.
• Build PLC panels and program them to run automated equipment.
• Configure, test, operate, maintain, and service controls and automated systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine upgrades.
• Repair and disassemble equipment to replace defective parts.
• Train others to install, use, and service equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to achieve output goals.
