Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canton, SD is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care on the day shift in a long-term care setting. You'll assist with daily living activities, monitor health needs, and collaborate with a licensed nurse.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification with the State Board or be enrolled to obtain certification.
• Past long-term care experience preferred.
• Must complete yearly competency testing and continuing education credits.
• Eligible for CNA certification within four months of starting, as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals and mobility.
• Document resident interactions and report changes to the charge nurse.
• Follow infection prevention, PPE use, and safety procedures.
