Job summary

Veritiv Corporation is hiring a CDL Class A Truck Driver in California to deliver and pick up stock, work with a team, and maintain safety and quality standards. The role requires a valid Class A CDL, clean MVR, Hazmat endorsement within six weeks, and willingness to perform warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and required within your first six weeks of hire.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• D.O.T. driving regulations compliance required.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Liftgate experience preferred.
• Familiarity with a computerized warehouse system preferred.
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills.
• Must be available to work the day shift.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods onsite and offsite per established procedures for on-time delivery.
• Visually inspect trucks to ensure proper loading and report any defects.
• Work according to an assigned schedule.
• Provide professional and courteous customer interactions.
• File and retrieve documents; monitor inventory quality and quantity.
• Follow safety instructions to protect the environment and people.
• Report problems with facilities and customers as needed.
• Operate equipment and adjust variables to improve efficiency.
• Support warehouse duties such as order filling and loading/unloading as needed.
