Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a CDL Class A Truck Driver in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on delivering and picking up stock, maintaining safe driving records, and providing excellent customer service on a defined route.

Responsibilities include timely transport, inspection, adherence to schedules, and potential warehouse support. Hazmat endorsement is preferred and will be required within six weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work the day shift.
• Must observe all DOT regulations and maintain a safe driving record/MVR.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred and required within your first six weeks of hire.
• Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment; liftgate experience preferred.
• Familiarity with a computerized warehouse system.
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Position requires a minimum of 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and supplies onsite and offsite within established procedures for on-time delivery.
• Visually inspect loaded trucks to ensure proper handling and report defects.
• Work according to an assigned schedule.
• Provide professional and courteous interactions with customers.
• File and retrieve documents and delivery records; monitor inventory quality and quantity.
• Follow a range of mandatory work instructions to safeguard environment and wellbeing.
• Report problems with facilities and customers.
• Operate equipment adjusting variables to improve efficiency.
• May assist with warehouse duties such as order filling and loading/unloading.
