Job summary

Emerald City Enhanced Services – Lakewood, WA is seeking a Behavioral/Mental Health Technician (BHT/MHT) for day shift on a per-diem basis. Starting pay ranges from $21 to $23 per hour plus 5% weekend and 10% night shift differentials.

You’ll provide direct care, support residents, and assist with daily living activities in a 16-bed facility. The role requires NAC or HCA credentials, a high school diploma, and strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Active NAC or HCA credential in Washington State.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily support to residents in our 16-bed enhanced services facility.
• Encourage participation in life skills, groups, and recreational activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including meals, hygiene, and personal care.
• Support licensed staff in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Accurately document resident progress and interventions.
• Implement an in-house food program with minimal meal preparations.
• Assist with an in-house food program, including meal setup, light preparation, and coordination with team members as part of daily workflow expectations.
• Support evolving operational workflow and adapt to changes in responsibilities as the program continues to grow.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment for all.
